Easter Egg baskets - Part 2

You may remember the blog last month where Celeste, on a weekend course here at Rush Matters, made Easter baskets for her Grandchildren in Michigan. She sent this lovely email in the week:

Hello Felicity;

My baskets came in handy to collect the eggs last weekend in Michigan!!!

I'll need to make one more before next Easter!!!

Guess I could have made the ribbon a bit shorter??!!!

World of Interiors May Issue

A couple of months ago we lent World of Interiors some of our rush floor matting for a photo shoot. We knew nothing more until I opened this months issue of WoI. I was really delighted to see how the stylists had used it. Our rush matting shows off the damask fabrics (the actual feature) really well. The raw rush against the fine fabrics, a great juxtaposition. Proof that the matting suits any interior style!

Next episode of giant cushion to follow...

Rush for Stonehenge

We recently supplied bolts of rush to The Ancient Technology Centre in Dorset. They were able to use them for the ridging of various dwellings they are re-creating at Stonhenge. We have also made 10 baskets for the project. Photography by Nick Davis.

Bed Head

A friend asked me to design a bed head for them. I wove a large panel, approx. 1m x 60cm in Chain pairing and my Mum (an upholsterer) upholstered it to a sub frame which was slotted in and attached to the Oak bed frame.
It was a great success, very pleased with the result. Smells good too! £450.00.
We can make this to fit any bed size.
